WDI Reports in Fredericksburg, Fairfax & Norther
n Virginia
What is a WDI report and When do I need one?
A WDI is a wood destroying insect. An example of a wood destroying insect is a termite, carpenter ant or carpenter bee. Most commonly, a WDI report would be filed for someone who thinks they might have termites in their home potentially causing damage to their home or wooden structure such as a barn or shed. A person might need a WDI report if they are refinancing or selling their home. The process is simple and can usually be done in an hour or less.
After making an appointment, a certified technician will arrive at your home and begin the inspection. The inspection is both internal and external. The technician will inspect the basement, attic, and crawl space if you have those in your home as well as the exterior parts of the home where there is exposed wood.
Upon completion of the inspection, the customer will receive their WDI report stating whether or not there were signs of termite damage. If termites were found during the inspection, we can set up a treatment plan for you.
Why is it Important to Get a Termite Inspection?
It is important to get your home inspected for termites, because they can quickly cause damage that you can’t always see. With an inspection, the technician can determine where the termites are causing the most damage, where they might be coming from and a method to get rid of them.
