Why did the customer contact us?
The customer had damage to their home from wood destroying insects.
Solutions provided:
Damage from wood destroying insects and water intrusion found on left side of front window framing next to bottom window. 2X4 framing was heavily damaged and needs replacement of triple stud assembly holding window header. Trim has been removed to expose. Cut out and replace visible damaged studding and bottom plate. Install new 2X4 SYP studs and bottom plate. Install 1/2″ OSB plywood strips over new stud assembly. Cover area with WRB (weather resistant barrier) to protect from elements until siding can be installed. Any drywall nail pops will be repaired with joint compound and sanding ready for paint.
