The customer had animals in their attic.
Solutions provided:
Install one roof vent guard over the attic fan to prevent animal entry through the fan housing. Reattach bathroom vent pipes to bathroom vent fittings on the roof and screen off entry points with heavy gauge stainless steel screen (2). Remove rotted wood and repair rake board on the side of the home covering it with metal of a matching color caulk and seal to prevent moisture damage. The squirrels have chewed openings into the soft rotted wood of this rake board. To avoid issues with an HOA, we will cover the entire rake board on the side of the house.
