The customer had birds nesting in their vent.
Solutions provided:
Remove all nesting materials and bird waste accessible from the exterior outlet of the two exhaust vents located on the side wall of the home. One vent is at ground level the other is in the second floor frame (25’ ladder). Disinfect the vent lines with Sterifab to treat for bird mites, lice, viruses, and bacteria. Remove the fan cover in the hall bath on the first floor of home and clean out and disinfect. Summit will not disassemble the fan assembly we will only clean what is accessible. Install a bird guard over the vent outlet in the second floor frame to prevent future animal entry into the vent line. Install a double damper vent on the ground level vent that has a damaged outlet cover.
