Why did the customer contact us?
The customer had bats and mice in their attic.
Solutions provided:
Remove metal from the front apex rake board of the home. Install new white sheet metal flush with the brick to prevent entry of bats into the attic space. Caulk gaps between the brick and rake boards on the right and left sides of the home.
Install ridge guard along the ridge vent on the top apex/ridge of the home. Will prevent bats from entering the home.
Install one chimney cap over the open flue.
Spot clean the accessible bat guano. Sterifab the entire attic space to disinfect. Install baffles around the entry point. Insulate the entry door with foam board insulation. Install weather stripping at the entry point. Blow over the existing insulation with cellulose insulation to reach 14 inches.
