Why did the customer contact us?

Customer had rodent problem.

Solutions provided:

Remove all of the batted/blown in insulation and mouse fecal matter. Sterifab the attire attic space to disinfect and treat for mites, lice, and bacteria. Install new baffles at the soffit lines and additional around the entry point. Install new batted insulation on the knee walls. Air seal gaps and conduit lines and any accessible entry points for mice will have copper cloth installed. Remove two bathroom fan solid exhaust pipes and install insulated flex lines. Install a new 223 vent on the roof and run the flex lines to the new vent. Blow in new cellulose insulation to reach 14 inches (R49). Insulate the entry door with foam board insulation and install weather stripping for better energy efficiency.

Install a pest block metal custom made to fit the bottom edge of the siding. The bottom of the j channels and corner channels will be blocked off to prevent entry of mice. Some areas have more wires running along the bottom of the siding and will be excluded as best as possible. Any conduit line around the home will be further secured with additional clear caulk.
Excluding the mice will greatly reduce the areas mice can enter the home.
Only with a continuous rodent program can Summit control the population of the mice.
